Olive O4HD and O6HD,
back in reach.
Olive Remote is an independent, modern replacement for the discontinued iMaestro controller. It has been tested with physical Olive O4HD and O6HD music servers. The app runs on iPhone, iPad, and Android and communicates directly with a working Olive on the same trusted home network.
No account · No subscription · No cloud library · Independent project
O4HD and O6HD are the tested models.
Olive Remote has been tested with physical O4HD and O6HD hardware. This is not a blanket promise for every firmware version or every legacy Olive. O2, O3HD, O5HD, OPUS, Symphony, Musica, and Melody need separate evidence. Olive ONE is a different, unverified platform.
Three things must be true before it can connect.
- 1
The Olive finishes startup
The server needs to boot normally. A remote cannot repair a failed disk, display, power supply, or main board.
- 2
Both devices use the same trusted network
Connect the Olive and your phone or tablet to the same home Wi-Fi or Ethernet LAN. Avoid guest Wi-Fi and temporarily turn off a VPN while connecting.
- 3
Use in-app discovery
Open Olive Remote and choose Find my Olive. The app keeps the connection between your device and the server on your home network; do not post the server’s private address online.
Keeping a working Olive usable
- A current controller when iMaestro is no longer an option.
- Local browsing, search, Now Playing, and playback control on tested hardware.
- Private control without an account or cloud music library.
Repair or recovery
- It cannot make a non-booting Olive start.
- It cannot repair hardware or recover a failed disk.
- It does not establish compatibility with untested models or every firmware version.
Start with the model and symptom.
If your Olive is not an O4HD or O6HD, or it is stuck during startup, use the compatibility check before attempting a reset, firmware install, or disk change.
